In order to protect the garden or lawn from water that drops or pours down from your roof you can protect that spot with some cement and stones like in the attached image, some other way also is to include a drainage system so the water flow is underground to the next outlet. Remember that steady drops or downpours will sooner or later damage your garden so its well worth to protect it.
